Adding/Removing Privileges (including privilege comments and suspensions)

Search for Granted Privileges by Provider

This function allows you to add comments on privilege suspensions or make notes regarding proctoring.  You may also follow the steps below to track provider's privilege that have been suspended or revoked. The results screen will display all privileges currently granted to the specific provider you have searched for.  You may then select ALL privileges or a specific privilege and Update the Status and Type for each.

  1. To view the granted privileges go to the section and select "Facility Admin" from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select "Add/Remove Privileges" from the "Facility Admin" drop-down menu.

     

  2. The "Provider Search" page is displayed.

  1. Enter all or part of the Provider’s Name you wish to search for and then select the button to open the "Provider Search Results" page.

  1. Select the radio button next to the provider's name to open the "Add/Remove Privileges" page.

  1. At the bottom of the main "Add/Remove Privileges" page the following section is available:

 

To Add a Comment

  1. Select the Privilege or Privileges you wish to modify by clicking the checkbox next to the privilege name and click the Update button to open the "Update Privilege Comments" page.

  

  1. Make all necessary updates to the privilege and then select thebutton to return to the main "Add/Remove Privileges" page.  Note!  Comments made in "Specific Comment" will be available for all to view.  "General Comment" is used only for credentialing specialists to view.

Suspend or Revoke Privileges

 

  1. Choose the appropriate button to "Suspend" or "Revoke" privileges.  Add notes in the General Notes page.  

  1. The provider's privileges will then be flagged and the general note can be viewed.

 

Delete Privileges (clerical errors only!)

 

The delete privileges button in Add - Remove Privileges should only be used in rare cases where the slate must be wiped clean because of a data entry error.

 

 

 

Search for Granted Privileges by Privilege

This function allows you to see ALL providers that are currently granted a specific privilege.  

You CAN NOT Add/Remove or Edit a privilege from this results page.  You MUST first select a specific provider then Add/Edit or Remove privileges individually.

 

  1. Select "Add/Remove Privileges" from the "Facility Admin" drop-down menu.

     

  2.  The "Provider Search" page opens.

  1. Enter all or part of the privilege you wish to search for and then select the button to open the "Search Results: Providers by Privilege" page.

  1. To edit a provider's privilege information associated with the privilege select the provider's name link under the "Provider Name" column.

  2. Follow the steps in the "Search for Granted Privileges by Provider" section of this page to make any necessary changes.
