Most privileges that are in the EPR Privilege Library have ICD/CPT codes attached.  These codes are specific to the individual privilege (management or procedure) and not necessarily the medical specialty.  Therefore some ICD/CPT codes may be repeated as privileges are crossed among specialties.  The specialist should be cautious when editing descriptions that the meaning of the privilege does not change.  When a new privilege is created, it is necessary to attach the CPT/ICD code.

Add CPT/ICD

1. Click the link to the far right of the newly added privilege.

2.  The Assigned CPT codes, Assigned ICD Procedure Codes, and Assigned ICD Diagnosis Codes will be blank.  Click the at the bottom of the page to search and add new codes.

3. The specialist can search by words or codes and click the   button.  Choose the search results as needed by clicking the and then click the to add the code to the privilege.
