Adding the Provider's Staff (Physician Extended, if applicable) |
Based on the provider’s application, if the provider has listed their staff (physician extender) for the primary practice location or any of the additional practice locations the specialist will perform the following steps:
Staff or Physician Extenders are defined as allied health/professional staff that assist the provider being credentialed (i.e., PA, ARNP, RN, PT, other technicians).
Select the option from the main menu.
From the drop-down
menu select "Provider Data".
From the "Provider
Data" drop-down select "Staff"
from the "Associates"
option.
The "Physician Extenders" information list for the provider is displayed.
Select the button to open the “Physician
Extenders” page.
Enter the full name of the staff member being added for the provider.
Enter the degree for the staff member (i.e, PA, APRN).
Enter the state the staff member’s state license was issued in.
Enter the state license number for the staff member.
Click in the “PRACTICE
NAME” or select the search icon to attach the staff
member to a practice location based on the following steps.
Staff or Physician Extenders should be attached to the provider’s primary practice location and/or additional practice locations as detailed in Section II of the Users Manual.
After clicking on the practice name field the “Practice Search” pop-up window will be displayed.
Enter the search
criteria and select the
button.
Based on a primary
practice location and/or additional practice locations (See
Verify the Primary
Practice Location and/or Adding
Additional Practice Locations) for the provider being credentialed
enter the applicable search criteria and select thebutton
to view a list of the available practice locations.
Select the radio
button next to the primary practice and/or additional practice location
associated with the provider being credentialed.
By selecting the practice location the “Practice Search Results” pop-up window will close and the practice information for the staff member loaded to the main “Physician Extenders” page.
Update all other fields
as necessary select the button to save the staff information
and return to the "Physician Extenders”
page.
Repeat the steps above to add all of the provider's staff (physician extenders) to the provider's EPR system record.
Edit a Staff Physician Extender
To edit an existing staff
member select the radio
button next to the staff member’s name to open the “Physician
Extenders” page.
When you have finished editing the information click the Update button.
To update or add another "Physician Extenders" select the name or Add New from the drop-down at the top of the window.
After all of the provider's staff have been entered or updated go to the Adding Work History page.
